Venue History

The Vaughn family has been deeply rooted in the Oklahoma Christian College community since 1958 when Raymond Vaughn Sr. joined as Athletic Director and later purchased 40 acres near the campus, creating a beloved gathering place for family, friends, and fellowship. Over the years, the family contributed to the community by donating land for the College Church of Christ and witnessing the growth of Tealridge Manor Retirement Community, all while fostering a legacy of hospitality and togetherness. Today, Elms and Oaks Venue carries on this tradition, welcoming guests to celebrate life’s special milestones on the cherished Vaughn property.
